Whist waiting for answers to some ‘real work’ questions, I’ve gone for ‘first light’ on the PWM.
It now works!
Some tidying up to do – probably another 5-10 hours – but the tube is good and all is well (so far . . .).
Being a 525/60 model it still needs quite a few Cs and Rs changing in the field scan and a few other problems – like the contrast control is almost seized. A dozen more things to ‘tidy’ but essentially good.
I wonder how and why this one came back to the UK? It’s certainly been in the USA or Canada as there’s US style repair components from long ago.
