If you like what we are doing and would like to make a donation, there are several ways you can do this.
A note about UK Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can make use of the HMRC Gift Aid scheme when you donate. This will boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate, as long as you pay enough Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current (or previous) tax year. If you pay tax at more than 25%, you will also get a refund from HMRC!
Please right-click (or long-press) on the icon and select the option to download the files then complete the form (it doesn’t need a signature) and email it to this email address.
By far the best way that you can send us money by bank transfer, either as a “one off” or as a regular “standing order”. That way we receive 100% of what you give.
Here are our details to give to your bank or building society:
Account name: Broadcast Engineering Conservation Group
Sort Code: 54-10-23
Account Number: 19333358
If you are making a monthly donation, please indicate this in the “reference” field so that we can identify it.
Please use UK Gift Aid if you can by downloading a form using one of the links above and returning it to us.
You can donate to us using PayPal using a credit or debit card, with or without an account, by using the donate button below.
When you donate via this button we pay a small percentage fee to Paypal. Please use UK Gift Aid if you can by downloading a form using the links above and returning it to us.
PayPal Giving Fund
We are registered on the PayPal Giving Fund which is a charity run by PayPal. Donations are collected by them and passed to us on a monthly basis, plus they also claim UK Gift Aid on our behalf when allowed by the donor – you should get the option to add Gift Aid once you have logged in, and/or later in the confirmation email.
There are no deductions made by PayPal, their costs are covered by their partner organisations and you can even set us as your favourite charity.
Note that you will need an existing PayPal account in order to be able to use this link.
If you would like your donation to be acknowledged, remember to tick the box to allow your details to be passed on to us, otherwise it will be anonymous! Please also email us at this email address to let us know, because the PayPal Giving Fund takes at least a month to forward the donation, and seems to lose the donor’s details most of the time!
The trustees have, where possible, remembered the BECG in their wills. If you would like to join them then here’s how to do it. You may wish to consult your solicitor or other advisor. If you or your solicitor have any questions please contact this email address.
If you’d like to leave a specific amount of money, “a pecuniary gift”, you might find this wording helpful:
“I bequeath to the BROADCAST ENGINEERING CONSERVATION GROUP (Registered Charity Number 1189469) of 41 Capper Avenue, Hemswell Cliff, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, DN21 5XS, the sum of £…“
If you’d like to leave a fraction of your estate, “a residuary gift”, then this wording may be helpful:
“I give a xx% part of the remainder of my estate (‘my residuary estate’) to BROADCAST ENGINEERING CONSERVATION GROUP (Registered Charity Number 1189469) of 41 Capper Avenue, Hemswell Cliff, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, DN21 5XS.“
