Vivat Vehicle Restoration

These photographs show the vehicle in various stages of refurbishment. The first problem was to remove all the panelling that had been fitted to the main area - when we did this we were pleasantly surprised to find that most of the original “Formica” pegboard was intact and the original lights were still present.
  • The underside has been shot-blasted and painted and the bodywork has been filled and primed where necessary.
  • One of the major problems was the front area; there was accident damage and we also knew (from another vehicle of the same date) that there would probably be corrosion of the internal steel plates - this turned out to be the case.
  • Another milestone has passed - the vehicle is now resplendent in its new colours - Deep Bronze Green with a Dove Grey stripe.
